My Approach

I believe therapy should help you feel understood, supported, and equipped with tools that make a real difference in your everyday life. My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—two evidence-based methods that help you change unhelpful patterns while building emotional stability and resilience.

CBT helps us identify how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, especially in anxiety, depression, trauma, and ADHD. Together, we work on recognizing the beliefs and habits that keep you stuck and learning new ways to respond to yourself and the world with more clarity and confidence.

DBT adds skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and relationships, so you can manage overwhelming feelings without shutting down or spiraling.

I also take a nervous-system-informed, holistic approach, because healing doesn’t happen through insight alone. We pay attention to how stress and trauma show up in the body and work on restoring a sense of safety, grounding, and emotional balance. This allows change to feel more natural, steady, and sustainable.

Sessions are collaborative, supportive, and tailored to you. Some days we focus on understanding patterns and past experiences. Other days we practice concrete skills you can use in real life—whether that’s calming anxiety, setting boundaries, improving communication, or feeling more emotionally stable. Therapy is not about fixing you—it’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths and build a life that feels more aligned, peaceful, and fulfilling.
